Dipped headlights and Full beam headlights

Dipped headlightsis the lighting you should always have on when driving according to the law. You should use the dipped headlights not only to be able to see the road when it’s dark but also so that other road users can see you easier. Keep in mind that you may not combine the dipped headlights with the daytime lights, fog lights or extra high beam lights. Full beam headlights is the light that is the strongest and its function is to be able to see as much as possible when needed, for instance when it’s very dark. However, keep in mind that you should turn off the full beam headlights when you meet other vehicles because you can dazzle other drivers, the same applies when driving behind another vehicle. You should actually use that light when needed but there are some times, for instance when it’s snowing, that it may be better not to use thefull beam headlights as this light can be reflected which leads to poorer visibility. Also keep in mind that you may not use the full beam headlights when the road is sufficiently lit, for example in the middle of the day or where there are lights on the road.
